A. Depends on how big your beads are, and what diameter string you are using. I'd go with something less than (or exactly) 1mm cord diameter. Or just buy beads with letters on them.

A. Diagonal striped friendship bracelets naturally curl because of the way they are knotted. To reduce the curling, you can try knotting a little looser. If that doesn't work, or your knots are already on the loose side, my next suggestion is to hold the bracelet in place in two places while you make it. For instance, when I make them I pin them to the arm of my sofa. I always make sure I have two pins holding it flat, placing the pins about an inch apart and moving them as I work so that the bottom one is always close to where I am knotting. That will keep at least the section you are working on from curling so it's easier to see. If the finished product is curling, you can try ironing the bracelet. Cotton thread will take very high… [cont.]

A. I made hundreds of these when I was younger. What you do is double the strands. Q. ive heard its called patchwork but im not positive. at camp tecumseh in indiana the counselors would always wear and make eachother these super thick friendship bracelets that were really complicated to create but they looked like a big thick braid but wasn't a braid at all. you could learn how to make it in the advanced friendship bracelet clinic. if you can tell me how to make it and find a picture of it, you are my hero !

A. The strings are supposed to switch places. What you have to do is carefully lay the strings down on a flat surface. Sometimes a clipboard is too short and the strings fall off. It's best to tape the end of the bracelet down on a hardwood floor or large table so you can lay each one of the strings out.

Why does my friendship bracelet have holes on between it?

Q. the only way i think is possible is tying both ends of the friendship bracelet together and knotting them. but when you do that, you cant take it off again. the only way you can take it off is if you cut it.
